I've been using Mobil 1 oil mixed with the Lucas crap. Removing the lifters involves the timing belt and I don't want to try to do to many things at one time so I am going get it back running first then do the t-belt.

The T1 sounds like a great idea but I also want to do what I can while the valve covers are off so Im going to clean the top of the engine with carb cleaner or pb blaster and vacuum up what I can and then flush through the pan with some cheap oil.

I'll change the oil every few hundred miles for the first half dozen times when I get it back running and hope for the best then start on a rebuild. I have a salvage JDM NA engine I bought awhile back I could build up but need to figure out how to build as a TT engine.
